# Reviewing Rivet

## The quickest useful review

1. Install Rivet from the App Store on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
2. Continue without creating a Rivet account, or sign in with Apple or Google if you prefer.
3. Connect Apple Calendar first. Apple Reminders and Health are optional and can be connected later.
4. Type a natural plan such as `Lunch with Sam Thursday at 1 PM` into capture.
5. Check the parsed date, time, title, and destination before confirming.
6. Switch among the available Day, Week, and Month views. iPhone also includes a 5-Day view.
7. Add a note or to-do, then use search to find it again.
8. If you have a second supported device, confirm that the item arrives through iCloud.

## Good features to test

- A whole day on one chronological timeline
- Plain-English capture with confirmation before changes
- Calendar events beside to-dos and notes
- Apple Reminders import and export
- Health, Music, and viewing activity on the day it happened
- Search across plans, notes, meetings, and activity
- The solar appearance that changes with the real time of day
- Native iPhone, iPad, and Mac layouts

## Free and Pro access

The free tier is enough to review the core timeline, Apple Calendar, Apple Reminders, notes, to-dos, and on-device capture. The App Store offers a 7-day Rivet Pro trial to eligible new subscribers. Pro is useful for reviewing recurring to-dos, timed reminders, two-way Google Calendar and Meet, and automatic summaries.

## Review notes

- No Rivet account is required.
- Permissions are optional and tied to the features that use them.
- Some Apple system features are platform-specific. Dynamic Island and certain widgets, for example, belong to iPhone.
- For current pricing, see Rivet on the App Store.
